Once again, nothing’s new–except League’s Taylor skin with a blonde hair base. Well, the Kookie hair is new-ish? I don’t know what my problem is. I buy new things, but do I wear them before they’re so old that no one remembers them? No.

I take it back, these jeans are pretty new-ish too. Though the jeans were a Stumblebum item, I believe. Anyhow, I hardly take these jeans off. I do this in rl too. I have one favorite pair of jeans and I wear them until I have to wash them. Then I wear them again. But look at them! They’re so great, aren’t they? Really hope Atomic releases some more denim in the future. I’d have to buy them all.

Am I the last person on sl to have bought these boots? It’s quite possible. When they first came out I was going to get them. I distinctly remember this. In fact, I still had the demo sitting in my invo; I never keep a demo unless I want to buy it. Where did it all go wrong? Either way, I made up for lost time and they’re now mine. Though I wish they’d release a 2.0 version because these invisiprims are huge.

Love, love, LOVE the new maxi dresses at So Many Styles. I saw a few pictures of them before their official release and started bouncing in excitement. Just the simple idea of long, flowing, feminine dresses makes me happy. Honestly, this is what has been missing from my sl wardrobe. Something that can be casual and dressy, something vintage looking. It’s a good thing clothes don’t get smelly on sl–this is staying on for a while.

My sexy man took me to Truth the other night after I confessed I have very little from their store in my inventory. Mostly because…well Truth hair is everywhere. Turns out I had more than I thought, but anyways, he bought me this new hair, Roxana. Ever since Truth started introducing the streaked hairs, I’ve wanted to get one. This one is adorable and sexy at the same time, and I have to admit, the blonde shades are really great. I’m so picky about my hair colors.

Trying to cross a few things off my shopping list. Curio skin, check…Ok, it’s the same Curio skin I bought last time in Petal instead of Sundust. I got sick of looking tan. Embrace the paleness! Next on my list..silver shoes. Any recommendations?

I just wrapped up a 36 hour work weekend–three 12 hour days–wrapping up a week in which I broke up with my sl partner after 6 months. Oh and guess who came knocking this morning? Not the ex. Needless to say, I’d like to kick the shit out of something right about now. Instead, I shopped and just dressed like someone who just got finished kicking the shit out of something.

Did you know that Action has new, well new-ish, clothes? I didn’t. Despite their participation in things like Super Bargain Saturday and Project Themeory, I never really made it into the store to look around. Finally, I got around to it, and I must say, I’m broke. Thanks Action! No, but seriously, if you haven’t, go there. Go there now. I command thee! The top I’m wearing? Action. If that isn’t reason enough, I don’t know what is.

So Many Styles, I’ll never get bored now

Long, long time overdue for a post, but rl and school are kicking my ass atm.  Hmmm what is there to say about the new releases from SMS?  They’re fantastic, edgy, great to play around with.  And this hair from barberyumyum?  Divinely innocent.  I like innocent lately.  More skin I cover the better.  I think it’s that transition back into fall.  Which is about to be interrupted by another heat spell in Southern California.  Just when I was ready to pull out my short-sleeved cardigans and knitting needles too.  Enough rambling, or next thing you know I’ll be talking politics in anthropology and cultural resource law.  Trust me, no one wants to go there.  Lots of pics after the cut.  They speak louder than words anyways.

Don't think twice, it's all right

I did a special set honoring the great Bob Dylan the other day.  Sadly, it was when SL was having all of it’s issues–wait…when isn’t SL having issues–so not many people showed up.  Probably for the best, seeing as I had only had an hour of sleep the night before.  This insomnia could be taking its toll.  Anyways, I was going to find something Dylan-ish to wear then, inspired by this hair by Tiny Bird from the poop hunt (It was right after I did the poop hunt post and I’ve been obsessed with this hair since).  Better late than never though, right?

For the first time, and it’s SO embarrassing to admit this, I went to DP Yumyum and picked up this A-line coat.  I loved everything in there and really had to control myself.  But seeing as I had It Ain’t Me Babe stuck in my head, this piece spoke to me the most.  I was set on just getting a blazer at Armidi, but this was sooo much better.  If you ever have a chance, look up some Dylan pics.  This is kind of a combination between a wool coat he used to wear and a twill one he favored at times…also perhaps a bit reminiscent of his turtleneck sweaters.  Yeah…I’m a Bob Dylan fanatic.

Out of all the hunts I’ve done on sl, this has to have been the funniest. The child in me was grossly entertained at the idea of looking for piles of steaming turds and toilet paper.  Plus, there was loads of great crap added to my inventory.  Ok, maybe I should stop with the poop jokes.  Trust me, I could go on and on with the puns.  But who really likes that kind of shit?  I promise that was the last one.

Some of the big contributors in the hunt were Long Awkward Pose and Tiny Bird (of course), as well as Pig, Smudge, and Gritty Kitty.  And since it was sim wide, it only took me an hour, even with all the lag on the first day.  Yes, it took me a whole week to get off my bum and blog about it.  Today is the last day, though, so get a move on and get down there!  It’s more than worth the hour it’ll take.  Start here!
