I really haven’t been on sl the past few days. Instead I’ve been doing things like sleeping and exercising and cooking and knitting–“normal” people things. Ok maybe knitting isn’t so normal and maybe I should have taken up smoking instead of spending so much on yarn, but…I’m getting off-topic aren’t I?

These are the ripped skinny jeans from Atomic. <3. The top's from Atomic too–it was up for project themeory last week, but since Ivy just put the stumblebum item up, I'm pretty sure it's gone. I should have blogged it sooner, right? You have noooo idea how many comments I got on my cleavage. Good thing I didn't wear a cleavage enhancer. Sheesh! I won't lie, despite the unnecessary attention (or sometimes, necessary), I love this top. It's adorable and sexy and came in great colors. Hopefully, like the jeans, it'll get released as a regular item.

Shoe fair is coming….I'm practically counting down the minutes. One can never have too many shoes. Or hair..can't have enough of that, either.

I decided to do something a bit “different” today. No it’s not sweats. Though, I know you were all looking forward to that. I will do a “Meg’s a Lazy Ass” post, eventually, don’t you worry. But I guess this just isn’t something I’d normally wear, even on sl, so I’m calling it different.

It all started when I got sent a gift card to *LP* Designs. (Thanks Liberty!) Well, I noticed a few things I liked, but these disco hot pants were the first thing to catch my eye. Yeah, I bought them in almost every color. Somehow they just called to me. I think everyone should own a pair, honestly.

Then, I headed over to TDR. I always do this after the collection’s been out for about a week. Why? Because I’m lazy? Not really, I’ve just been spending a lot of time in clubs lately. Of course, I had to grab the special guest item from Milk Motion. I love Milk Motion. Especially this blazer. I think you remember another post where I wore one, but I didn’t like the collar…well, I like the sparkly collar on this blazer. Maybe it’s because it’s white; don’t ask me.

I just wrapped up a 36 hour work weekend–three 12 hour days–wrapping up a week in which I broke up with my sl partner after 6 months. Oh and guess who came knocking this morning? Not the ex. Needless to say, I’d like to kick the shit out of something right about now. Instead, I shopped and just dressed like someone who just got finished kicking the shit out of something.

Did you know that Action has new, well new-ish, clothes? I didn’t. Despite their participation in things like Super Bargain Saturday and Project Themeory, I never really made it into the store to look around. Finally, I got around to it, and I must say, I’m broke. Thanks Action! No, but seriously, if you haven’t, go there. Go there now. I command thee! The top I’m wearing? Action. If that isn’t reason enough, I don’t know what is.

This is a rebirth. Figuratively, of course. While I was going to delete my posts from before–and/or start a new blog, I couldn’t do that. Some things, you hold onto…others, well you let go. By letting go of one part of sl, I’ve returned to the part that makes the most sense: shopping. In the end, it’s amazing how a couple hundred lindens can make me feel like a new person. Speaking of new (see what I did there? huh? Yeah, lame segue…) I love, love, love the new K&CO racerbacks. I wish they came in solids, too. I’d buy them all. Makes me want to break out the sewing machine and make a few in rl.

I saw someone wearing the Lionheart skins from Plastik the other day for the first time…I nearly fell over in my chair. They have the sexiest eye make up of any skins I’ve seen. Of course I had to have one–and of course it was hard as hell picking just one. Somehow, I managed. While I loved the Myth tone, I felt a little pale, so I went with my second favorite, Fable. Oh and the hi-def option? Brilliant.

Sometimes, girls cry

Yeah, we do.  For no reason.  It’s not spilling something that makes us cry…in fact we probably spilled something because we were too distracted by how we wanted to cry.  It was one of those days today.  So while this awesome anime-inspired skin from vive9 that I picked up on Friday was supposed to be a “sick” skin, I thought it fit quite well.  The new Grace line looks amazing.  If you’re not a member of the vive9 group, join.  It’s 100L but you get free skins and they’re uber impressive.  Trust me, you’ll be blown away by them too.

Oh, and I had to include panda accessories also from last Friday.  Blame South Park.  “I’m a saaaaaaad panda.”  Though, they are my favorite animals.  Only a panda can make me go all sappy.  Ok, that’s not really the case.  I’m a chick, I go sappy over almost anything.

While this might be what my mood is like–it’s a thunder storm lately–these 50L items from Reek certainly made my night!  I feel like writing a song about how much I love 50L Fridays. Lots of good stuff this week.  Two awesome tees from Pididdle for the price of one, a cute shirt from Tyranny, and omg League <3.  Also as always, This Is A Fawn’s items are win and the jewelry from Epoque, though perhaps not something I’d wear everyday, is classic.  And…..UNRELEASED hair from Tiny Bird.  I love Fridays.

Out of all the hunts I’ve done on sl, this has to have been the funniest. The child in me was grossly entertained at the idea of looking for piles of steaming turds and toilet paper.  Plus, there was loads of great crap added to my inventory.  Ok, maybe I should stop with the poop jokes.  Trust me, I could go on and on with the puns.  But who really likes that kind of shit?  I promise that was the last one.

Some of the big contributors in the hunt were Long Awkward Pose and Tiny Bird (of course), as well as Pig, Smudge, and Gritty Kitty.  And since it was sim wide, it only took me an hour, even with all the lag on the first day.  Yes, it took me a whole week to get off my bum and blog about it.  Today is the last day, though, so get a move on and get down there!  It’s more than worth the hour it’ll take.  Start here!

Love, love, LOVE this hair and hat from Rozoregalia!  While I’ve always labored under the belief that any hat was a bad idea, that simply doesn’t apply in Second Life.  So when this caught my eye, I had to have it.  It’s small, but not tiny and all the little rosettes and silver chained buds give it an edgy, yet sophisticated appeal–Yes, I admit it, I’m a prim whore.  The second I demoed it, one word popped into my head: Burlesque.  Which gave me a great excuse to visit *Chanimations and grab the vanity I’m posing with.  Their Flesh Cabaret items are all beautiful, erotic, and in true Second Life fashion, kinky.

The lashes and feathers I’m wearing are from Glow, which is having a sale right now, so get down there!  They’ve got mark downs from 30-70% (most items being 50% off).  And let’s face it, with those prices, it’s worth the aggravation of adjusting prim lashes.
