Fridays = Vacation

keaton

I didn’t post about the last 50L Friday, which was awesome!!!!  But this week it was yet another great 50L Friday. I shopped with my bffl, Toxic. We have completely different styles, but we both know a good deal when we see one, and who doesn’t like shopping with their best friend? Upon visiting pig–after she said the clothes there were “weird”….I like weird, and the pleated pants, omg I’ll wear them forever–I realized we’ve known each other a year now. It’s amazing how on the internet, that’s such a long time, but in reality, my rl bestie and I have known each other eight years…and lately, I’m no where near as close to her as I am to Tox. So I’m dedicating this 50L Friday post to her and to my biffle, Treo. He’s always been there for me whenever I call. I love you both.

And now we return with…

With a little bit of Luck Inc times will a-change

Don't think twice, it's all right

Don't think twice, it's all right

I did a special set honoring the great Bob Dylan the other day.  Sadly, it was when SL was having all of it’s issues–wait…when isn’t SL having issues–so not many people showed up.  Probably for the best, seeing as I had only had an hour of sleep the night before.  This insomnia could be taking its toll.  Anyways, I was going to find something Dylan-ish to wear then, inspired by this hair by Tiny Bird from the poop hunt (It was right after I did the poop hunt post and I’ve been obsessed with this hair since).  Better late than never though, right?

For the first time, and it’s SO embarrassing to admit this, I went to DP Yumyum and picked up this A-line coat.  I loved everything in there and really had to control myself.  But seeing as I had It Ain’t Me Babe stuck in my head, this piece spoke to me the most.  I was set on just getting a blazer at Armidi, but this was sooo much better.  If you ever have a chance, look up some Dylan pics.  This is kind of a combination between a wool coat he used to wear and a twill one he favored at times…also perhaps a bit reminiscent of his turtleneck sweaters.  Yeah…I’m a Bob Dylan fanatic.

Want some Luck?…

50L Blast From The Past

I’m utterly exhausted after only getting an hour of sleep last night, but I had to do a quick blog about yesterday’s 50L Friday because it was fab. Here’s some of my favorites. The Clawtooth hair really made me happy because since I saw them back at Hair Fair, I fell in love with their retro style. The Jacket from Milk Motion is well defined and also has that 50s flair. And who doesn’t love the simplicity and innocent appeal of This Is A Fawn? Overall, it was another great Friday.

Let the good times roll…

The Living Doll

The Living Doll

Showing off another one of my grabs from 50L Friday last weekend.  This dress from katat0nik is amazing.  It’s playful, gothic, and just plain fun to wear.  The second I put it on I was reminded of a marionette.  So I headed over to xstreet to see if I could find something.  I honestly used to hate xstreet, but lately I’ve been too lazy to run about in world and shifting through feeds for a marionette didn’t seem too promising.  I was doubtful I could even find one, but this one’s great.  The only thing I don’t like is that it’s scripted to rezz and not to be worn–not much use if I had wanted to walk around with it on.  It’s minimum height is also 2m…making it a bit difficult to take pictures.  I think they turned out alright, though.

To the puppet show…

Mario, it’s 50L Friday!

damn...I have to vacuum

Damn, I need a new vacuum!

Well I could think of worse ways to start a blog then to showoff my grabs from 50L Friday!  I admit, I haven’t shopped in a while–actually ever since I started DJing, I have little time to do much else.  But who can pass up these amazing deals!  Especially since I’ve had to cancel most of my events this week because techs from at&t have failed three times to fix my connection issues.  So needless to say I’ve had some extra time to spend those L$s I’ve been making.

When I saw that one of my favorite stores, Reek, was on the list, I jumped over there first.  And I’m glad I did!  Reek AND Nintendo!  This grab was full of win.  Of course, instantly this Intrigue Co. shirt and my handy-dandy Reek theme belt popped into my head and before I knew it, I was halfway to success.

It’s me, Mario…
